Why Mugabo Travels exists
“I started this company because I was tired of watching tourists get overcharged, driven by strangers who didn’t know the roads, and missing the real Uganda.”
Reggane Mugabo spent over a decade driving routes across Uganda — from the red-dust roads to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, to early-morning airport runs from Entebbe — before founding Mugabo Travels in 2010.
He’d seen too many visitors end up in unreliable vehicles with drivers who didn’t speak their language or know the terrain. He built this company to fix that.
Today, Mugabo Travels is a team of licensed, locally-trained drivers who know every shortcut, every lodge, every park gate. We don’t do tourist pricing. We do honest pricing — because we want you to come back.
